Edward A. Pease
Senior Vice President, Government Relations Rolls-Royce North America Inc. (RRNA)
Edward A. Pease joined Rolls-Royce North America on March 15, 2001, as Senior Vice President of Government Relations. In this role, Pease is responsible for relationships between the company and Federal government officials. He also oversees international trade issues and relationships with State and Provincial governments.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Pease served two terms as a United States Congressman, 7th District, Indiana. During his congressional tenure, Pease served as a member of the House Judiciary Committee; the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee; the House Small Business Committee; and served as the Assistant Majority Whip with extensive service as Speaker Pro Tempore.
Prior to his election to Congress, Pease was Vice President, Indiana State University. Before that, he was State Senator, 37th District, Indiana, where he served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and as a member of the Senate Environmental Affairs Committee and Senate Natural Resources Committee. He was also vice-chairman of the National Conference of State Legislators and chairman of numerous state commissions and committees generally dealing with courts, court administration and the legislative process. He has also successfully authored major legislation regarding community corrections, court restructuring, environmental protection and tort reform.
Pease received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction in both English and Political Science, and his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Indiana University. He also completed post-graduate studies in English at Indiana State University.
Pease currently serves on the governing boards of a number of local, state, and national not-for-profit entities including the North American Interfraternity Conference, the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, The Nature Conservancy, and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, Pease now resides in the Washington, DC area.
